We were contracted by the R&A with securing all temporary buildings/car parks/campsites etc before, during, and after the Open Championship in Carnoustie.

With this International Event bringing ten of thousands of visitors and spectators to the small town on the East Cost of Scotland our team were tasked with securing and safeguarding major assets spread over different locations within the Carnoustie Links as well as in and around the town. Following an in depth analysis with the client we formed a safe and efficient solution to cover all areas as the site as it evolved into a small village consisting of Media Centres, Storage and Accommodation Compounds, Hospitality Marquees, Campsites, Park & Ride Areas and the Golf Course itself with high value LED scoreboards stationed at each green some at far reaches of the course.

This was achieved by our supervisors rotating the staff on 2-3 hrs shifts to ensure all areas are continually patrolled whilst the course was not in use. We utilised golf buggies to cover the more far reaching areas of the course and our mobile vehicle units were in operation 24hr a day providing cover to the various facilities in and around the town.

Our Cleaning Team were also employed to maintain the large number of temporary accommodation units, offices and toilet located across all areas. We were also responsible for the clean-up following the event with our team on site for some 2 weeks doing a litter pick across the course and surrounding areas.
